Bars & Tray Bakes

P1070428 P1070438Yes, another crumble related recipe. Why? Because that's my JAM. No, no. Because, that's the way the cookie crumbles. It's worrying how quickly these terrible jokes come to me. Or does that make me a quick witted individual? I'll leave that for you to decide. You don't have to tell me what conclusion you come to. What a way to start a post eh. It's only taken me two weeks to attempt to make this, or was it three? Either way, my days off became days on, so the baking just kept being postponed. When it finally came round to my baking day, I was pretty darn excited.

I am not one of those people who craves chocolate a lot. In fact I could easily give up chocolate. Cheese is my thang. If I were to have to choose between giving up chocolate or cheese I would 110% give up chocolate. Think of all the things you couldn't have without cheese. I mean PIZZA. Come on! When it comes to sweet treats I would much rather have something fruity than chocolatey. Call me crazy but that's just the way I roll (sunglasses emoji). Having said that, there are the odd occasions when I do fancy a bitta chocolate. On one of those such occasions I decided I wanted to make Chocolate Tiffin or Refrigerator Cake, which ever you prefer. I wanted to jazz them up a bit hence the pistachio and cherries. Such a winning combination. And I am not saying "winning" in that really annoying Charlie Sheen way. You can add that to the never ending list of words and phrases I loathe.

Where on earth has this summer gone?! I know we are still in August but how did we even get here? It seems like just yesterday that I was frolicking about London being a massive tourist. That being said, I have been back to London pretty much nearly every week since I moved back homes! I really feel like we are done over a bit when it comes to the amount of time we get that we can actually call "summer". It feels like winter lasts about 3/4 of the year then there is a bit of autumn and a teeny bit of summer. Why!?! Everything is better in the summer. Except for outdoor ice-skating. If you are into that, then summer probably isn't for you.
