June 2014

Hello, I am Karishma, qualified Speech and Language Therapist!! Yes that's right, I did it! Those long looong days spent sat at my desk, cramming as much information as possible into my already full brain, seemed to have paid off! And what a relief it is. Now I can actually enjoy my summer without waking up from dreams in which I find out I have failed! The funny thing is, I don't actually want to get a job now though. I want to put it off for as long as possible. You could say I don't want to face being "an adult" in the "real world". Alternatively, you could also say I am lazy. Either way you would be a little bit right! I just think I should enjoy being able to do nothing whilst I can, because before I know it my holidays will be limited to 20 days a year or whatever it is. See I don't even know how much time off I should expect to get when I enter the dreaded "real world"!

The phrase "better late than never" could not be more fitting. Way back at the end of April, I was invited to an event at Neff by Appliances Online; #AOCooks. The event was called Afternoon Tea Delights, and Great British Bake Off winner John Whaite was the delightful host for the afternoon. I arrived at the Neff showroom and joined the other bloggers who were being shown all the amazing products Neff has to offer, including their innovative Slide & Hide oven. More about that later. After we had our fill of gazing longly at cookers, imaging how good they'd look in our dream kitchens, we were taken to a presentation room where we were given a small talk on the history of Neff and Appliances Online. For those of you who don't know, Appliances Online is an online retailer for electrical appliances, whose customer service is highly rated! Check out their blog to find out more about the afternoon and what the company do!

Before we get started I need to apologise for the lack of food photos. It's always tricky making stuff for dinner that I want to feature on the blog 'cause chances are people want to eat it as soon as it's made which limits photo taking opportunities. Also the filling turned out a bit runnier than expected because I added some unnecessary water, which resulted in, what was in my opinion, an ugly pie. Don't worry I have tweaked the recipe so you won't end up with a sloppy pie like mine!  So yes, I am sorry, but to make up for it I have lots of photos from my continuing adventures as a tourist in London!
